MIP Gala Opening Concert

The Montenegro International Piano Festival 2026 opens with a gala recital by Eva Gevorgyan, one of the most distinguished young pianists of her generation, whose exceptional artistry has earned international acclaim on some of the world’s most prestigious concert stages. Presented in partnership with Lazure Hotel & Marina and under the patronage of the Hamović family, this special evening at Wind Rose marks the official opening of the Festival and the beginning of a week dedicated to artistic excellence, outstanding performances and the celebration of piano music at the highest level.

The Montenegro International Piano Festival 2026 presents a recital by Yuanfan Yang, prize winner of the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition and one of the most compelling young artists on today’s international piano scene. Recognised for his exceptional musical sensitivity, virtuosity and distinctive artistic voice, Yang brings to Kotor a programme shaped by elegance, imagination and remarkable interpretative depth. Presented in collaboration with the Ricard Viñes International Piano Competition and in partnership with Vida Matjan School of Music.

MIP Gala Closing Concert

The Montenegro International Piano Festival 2026 concludes with a gala recital by Andrey Gugnin, one of the most distinguished pianists of his generation and an artist internationally acclaimed for his exceptional virtuosity, artistic imagination and commanding stage presence. Renowned for performances that combine dazzling brilliance with remarkable depth and expressive power, Gugnin has captivated audiences at leading concert halls and festivals worldwide. Presented on World Music Day in collaboration with the Nikola Đurković Cultural Centre Kotor and the Vida Matjan School of Music, this gala concert marks the grand finale of the Festival and a celebration of piano artistry at its finest.

PIANORAMA

At sunset on the summit, high above the Bay of Kotor, the stage at Forza Kuk Amphitheatre becomes a horizon of sound. World-renowned pianist Gergely Bogányi appears with his revolutionary Bogányi Piano — presented exclusively at the MIP Opening — for a once-in-a-lifetime recital at altitude.
